  • 8 slices sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup butter at room temperature
  • 4 slices of cooked ham
  • 4 slices of Gruyere cheese
  • 4 large eggs


  1. Take sourdough bread slices and butter them with half cup butter. Make sure the butter is at room temperature.
  2. Place slices of cooked ham and Gruyere cheese on top of four slices of bread and then make sandwiches with the remaining slices.
  3. Take a skillet and fry the sandwiches until the cheese has melted, the bread is golden brown and the ham is hot.
